Amathea asked Ricardo to come to her home.\u00a0 No one she knew was so savvy about computers.\u00a0 He had always been able to fix any of her PC problems.\u00a0 Her faith in him was more than justified. <\/p>\n

She was very appreciative.\u00a0 She thanked him profusely.\u00a0 She broke down.\u00a0 She told him all the grievous details about that disastrous night with Giovanni.\u00a0 Ricardo was revolted by the callousness of Giovanni’s sordid behavior.\u00a0 He did his best to comfortingly reassure his friend of longstanding.\u00a0 He also sought to repair and build up her self-esteem.\u00a0 She did feel a little better before his departure.<\/p>\n

“Oh yes, there is one more thing,” Ricardo told her as he stood in her doorway.<\/p>\n

“What is it?”<\/p>\n

“Considering what you’ve been going through it’s not very important.\u00a0 But I have one more computer tip for you.”<\/p>\n

“What is it?”<\/p>\n

“Be sure and check your history and temporary Internet files folders.\u00a0 You would not believe the crud that collects in either of those places.”<\/p>\n

“I’ll keep that in mind.”<\/p>\n

She followed his recommendation.\u00a0 That throwaway kernel of high tech advice turned out to be of great significance to her.\u00a0 She came across a woman’s given and family names which had been painfully, unfortunately, and irreversibly seared into her memory.\u00a0 Now she knew why her companion recently spent so much time on her computer.\u00a0 At last she had a clue to Giovanni’s behavior.\u00a0 Now she knew where to begin her search.<\/p>\n

Amathea entered the accursed name into several search engines.\u00a0 She was repeatedly led to a particular website.\u00a0 She sought to glean some insights pertaining to the capabilities, personality, motives, character, interests, and possible Achilles’ heel(s) of the site’s MISTRESS.\u00a0 She sent LADY MESMER an email begging to be taken on as a hypnotic client.<\/p>\n

KRYSTAL read the email.\u00a0 The woman’s interest in hypnosis seemed genuine.\u00a0 LADY MESMER, uncharacteristically and inexplicably, had more free time than SHE usually did.\u00a0 SHE decided to grant her an initial interview.\u00a0 SHE contacted Amathea and an appointment was scheduled.<\/p>\n

LADY MESMER met with HER prospective student at the appointed time.\u00a0 Amathea made certain she arrived early.\u00a0 While they exchanged pleasantries, KRYSTAL sensed this woman might be trying to deceive HER.\u00a0 SHE noticed something slightly suspicious, disturbing, and challenging about the movements, and the intensity in the depths, of HER visitor’s large, gray eyes.\u00a0 This focused gaze did not convey mere curiosity.\u00a0 This was the look of one woman evaluating–no, sizing up another.\u00a0 KRYSTAL became certain the eyes looking into HERS were the eyes of a rival.\u00a0 LADY MESMER was an unwilling, and more to the point unwitting, participant in this struggle.\u00a0 Still, in the other woman’s mind, they were competitors and probably competing gladiators for the same thing.\u00a0 KRYSTAL wondered if HER guest considered HER a threat to some romantic relationship of Amathea’s.\u00a0 KRYSTAL knew what needed to be done.<\/p>\n

“MY experience has taught ME it is a very good idea for anyone who wants to be a hypnotist to first know and feel what it is like to be deeply hypnotized.”\u00a0 KRYSTAL made HER voice and words as noncombative as SHE could.<\/p>\n

This was one thing Amathea wished would not have happened.\u00a0 She unrealistically hoped she, in some way, could surreptitiously discern the extent of the connection between Giovanni and this KRYSTAL MESMER.\u00a0 Sadly, this had not come to be.\u00a0 She quickly considered direct confrontation and simply asking KRYSTAL for the personal information she sought.\u00a0 To do so would mean admitting she had lied about her real intentions.\u00a0 This she would never do.\u00a0 She had to accept HER offer of hypnosis.<\/p>\n

“I have never been hypnotized before,” Amathea began.\u00a0 “It sounds like a wonderful idea.\u00a0 How do I begin?”<\/p>\n

This turn of events was a bit of a surprise to KRYSTAL.\u00a0 SHE assumed HER suggestion about hypnosis would prod or force this woman to confess all.\u00a0 SHE thought about asking Amathea to come clean.\u00a0 This would entail implying the woman was a prevaricator.\u00a0 KRYSTAL’s feeling about her could be wrong.\u00a0 Only one path was acceptable.\u00a0 Besides, it would give LADY MESMER the desired data.<\/p>\n

“Just sit back, relax, and make yourself comfortable,” KRYSTAL answered reassuringly.<\/p>\n

A fixation point was needed for Amathea’s first mesmeric induction.\u00a0 KRYSTAL elected not to use a ring or pendant.\u00a0 LADY MESMER suspected it would be counterproductive to use any object SHE touched or which was in any way related (KRYSTAL felt that the connection’s indirect nature would not matter in this case) to HER appearance.\u00a0 If KRYSTAL’s hunch was accurate, the one thing this very pretty woman sitting in front of HER needed least of all was to focus upon, and thus be reminded of, KRYSTAL’s exceptional attractiveness.\u00a0 SHE chose not to employ any of HER high tech hypnotic tools.\u00a0 Some people are anxious about being guided into the trance state.\u00a0 Some persons possess technophobic tendencies.\u00a0 Using a device which might elicit either or both of these fears was out of the question.\u00a0 KRYSTAL simply adored candlelight.\u00a0 Many women do.\u00a0 SHE hoped Amathea would not be an exception.<\/p>\n

“Now, Ms. Chrysalis, just focus all of your attention on the harmless, little candle you see before you.”\u00a0 KRYSTAL anticipated HER use of the woman’s given name might be misinterpreted as an overly familiar gesture.\u00a0 “Let your eyes easily and peacefully come to rest upon the candle’s softly flickering flame.\u00a0 Many of MY clients tell ME it simply feels sooooooo good to allow their eyes to become one with the candle’s soporific, soft, and soothing light.\u00a0 They often say that gazing into the graceful and gentle motion of the candle’s friendly and flickering flame brings them a feeling of wonderful tranquility along with wave after wave of easy and peaceful sleepy rest.\u00a0 Your eyes slowly and surely becoming heavier and heavier.\u00a0 As you continue to concentrate all of your attention on the beautiful, burning tip of the harmless, little, hypnotic candle.\u00a0 Your tired and sleepy eyes becoming sooooooo much heavier and heavier.\u00a0 See the pret-ty, little flame as it slowly dances, sways, and shimmers before your oh so sleepy, sleepy, so very sleepy tired and heavy eyes.”<\/p>\n

“I shall count down from ten to one.\u00a0 Ten, continuing to center your gaze on the harmless and pretty, little candle before you.\u00a0 Nine, it feels oh so good to release all your tension and simply relax.\u00a0 Eight, the only sound in your world as the soft, soothing, and comforting sound of my voice.\u00a0 Seven, allowing nothing to distract you from the sight of the candle and the sound of my voice.\u00a0 The sound of my voice and the sight of the friendly and fascinating, flickering flame are the only things in your world.\u00a0 Six, any other distractions will only help you to focus your concentration on the candle, and my voice, and the candle’s lovely and luxurious light.\u00a0 Five, your eyelids are like tiny, little window shades ready to gently drop down for a time of quiet and peaceful, sleepy rest.\u00a0 Four, your eyes beginning to softly and easily close down.\u00a0 Three, your body feeling more and more relaxed with each breath you take, and with every word I say.\u00a0 Two, now your eyes are so tired, so heavy, so sleepy, and so ready to close.\u00a0 And finally, one, your eyes are completely closed, totally locked shut, and impossible to open.”<\/p>\n

KRYSTAL watched her finally fall deeply into a very relaxed and quite peaceful mesmeric trance state.\u00a0 SHE had noticed the strength of Amathea’s resistance from the moment of the induction’s commencement.\u00a0 For this reason LADY MESMER elected to employ a much longer countdown, for this extraordinarily reluctant and possibly antagonistic subject, than was usually necessary.\u00a0 Like water dripping on a rock, THE HYPNOTEUSE knew HER client’s defenses would at length crumble into nothingness.\u00a0 So had it been for others.\u00a0 It was even so for this woman.\u00a0 KRYSTAL reminded HERSELF that experience can indeed be a most excellent instructor.<\/p>\n

KRYSTAL waited a few moments for Amathea’s trance to inevitably deepen.\u00a0 While doing so, SHE silently reviewed HER plans for the forthcoming events.\u00a0 Now it was time to get down to brass tacks.\u00a0 SHE would soon know if this woman was fearful of hypnosis or held any hostility to HER or both.\u00a0 If Amathea’s actions were spawned by some personal grudge, KRYSTAL would shortly learn the reason why.<\/p>\n

“Now, Ms. Chrysalis, listen to MY words.\u00a0 While you are hypnotized, you will tell ME the absolute truth.\u00a0 So long as you are in your trance state, you will hold nothing back from ME, your hypnotist.\u00a0 MY thoughts are your thoughts.\u00a0 MY words are your words.\u00a0 MY instructions are truly your instructions that you are giving to yourself.\u00a0 For MY thoughts are your thoughts.\u00a0 MY words are your words.\u00a0 MY will is your will.\u00a0 Nod your head and say, “Yes,” if you understand.”<\/p>\n

It took some moments for Amathea to comply.\u00a0 As was sometimes the case, the strength of her resistance had led to the exceeding depth of her trance.\u00a0 KRYSTAL knew this would be so.\u00a0 Still, SHE at times wondered why this occurred?\u00a0 SHE postulated that it might be a psychological example of Sir Isaac Newton’s Third Law of motion, i.e., “Reaction is always equal and opposite to action.”\u00a0 For now, that tantalizing tidbit of speculative thinking must be placed on one of HER exceptionally active mind’s many back burners.\u00a0 It was time for Amathea’s gentle, tactful, and thorough interrogation to take place.<\/p>\n

“Now, listen well.\u00a0 You know you must tell ME the entire and absolute truth.\u00a0 Why have you come to see ME?”<\/p>\n

“Giovanni Seingalt,” Amathea answered.<\/p>\n

“Who is he?”<\/p>\n

“He is my lover,” she slurred.<\/p>\n

“In your mind, how is he connected to ME?”<\/p>\n

“We were making love.\u00a0 He shouted YOUR name.\u00a0 Why!? \u00a0Why!!?\u00a0 Why!!!!!!!?”\u00a0 She began to sob.<\/p>\n

KRYSTAL questioned her further.\u00a0 SHE learned that the action which had driven Amathea to HER was only the last in a series of reprehensible behaviors.\u00a0 Amathea talked about her upbringing and how it had affected as well as infected her psyche.\u00a0 SHE lovingly guided HER visitor back down into a deep, restful, rejuvenating hypnotic state.<\/p>\n

KRYSTAL did some research while Amathea sweetly rested in hypnotic sleep.\u00a0 Giovanni Seingalt had not joined HER En-Tranced club.\u00a0 He had purchased only HER A Touch of KRYSTAL CD.\u00a0 That he had not bought HER Hypnotic Happiness, initial training and conditioning, CD might be a very revelatory piece of information.\u00a0 SHE reviewed the flattering and obsequious emails he had sent HER.\u00a0 SHE had thought, with the proper development, he someday might possibly be a worthy, in-person, hypnoerotic client.\u00a0 SHE believed he might even possess some latent tendencies toward sexual submissiveness.\u00a0 The data his lover provided clearly proved he was unfit for any of HER invaluable time and much coveted attention.\u00a0 KRYSTAL knew many men who were far more desirable than this self-absorbed and discourteous wretch.<\/p>\n

KRYSTAL returned to Amathea and questioned her about hypnosis.\u00a0 It turned out the latter had a smattering of knowledge and a tiny spark of interest in the subject.\u00a0 THE EMERALD-EYED HYPNOTEUSE believed mesmerism might be very beneficial to this woman.\u00a0 It could help bolster her self-confidence.\u00a0 It might assist her in loosening, and preferably as well as hopefully casting off, the psychological bondage impressed upon her from her youth.\u00a0 It would perhaps provide her an advantage whenever she had to deal with an overly self-assured and chauvinistic male.\u00a0 Unfortunately, as LADY KRYSTAL MESMER knew all too well, such males (a person of this type did not deserve the appellation of, “man)” were still extant.<\/p>\n

After several days of thought, Amathea telephoned KRYSTAL.\u00a0 She informed HER of her blossoming desire to be one of HER hypnosis students.\u00a0 A mutually convenient time was set for her first lesson.<\/p>\n

Anyone who knew HER well, to any degree, would certainly declare LADY KRYSTAL MESMER was, or is, a very dedicated person.\u00a0 Any action SHE deemed worthy of HER time and effort was rarely, if ever, done by half measures.\u00a0 Any belief SHE accepted was firmly implanted in HER mind, unless SHE came upon, or was presented with, sufficient contravening evidence or proof.\u00a0 One of HER strongest and more powerfully felt passions was the desire to assist as many worthy women as SHE could in the process of breaking out of their personal cocoons.\u00a0 SHE had found some women existed in prisons primarily (or in a few instances exclusively) of their own construction.\u00a0 The creation and perpetuation of their jail cells might be conscious or unconscious or both.\u00a0 Other women SHE had worked with subsisted in confinement, which was for the most part (or in a small number of circumstances), imposed upon them by some other person(s).\u00a0 SHE found a third group of women whose imprisonment was placed upon them by themselves and others.\u00a0 The source of their predicament was not LADY MESMER’s primary concern.\u00a0 Knowledge of this piece of personal data was relevant only when it indicated a possible means of release for the woman in question.\u00a0 HER chief goal was to help these women acquire or develop the requisite tools and skills to beneficially change their lives.\u00a0 Ever since SHE was a little girl SHE had always liked butterflies.\u00a0 The monarch variety was HER favorite.\u00a0 Now SHE understood their lives were a meaningful metaphor for HER.\u00a0 These insects symbolized HER life’s journey of personal discovery and the developments wrought by self-actualization.\u00a0 The also signified, what SHE hoped would be, the enlightening and liberating voyages of other women.\u00a0 LADY KRYSTAL MESMER thought, felt, and knew that Amathea Chrysalis was a woman who needed to be set free from her cocoon.\u00a0 THE HYPNOTEUSE hoped and believed SHE could aid her in this metamorphic maturation process.<\/p>\n
