            In one of the most thrilling passages of Her audio trance,
“Eternal Love,” Goddess Marquesa commands the listener to obey Her, the
“Magnificent, Merciless Mistress Marquesa.” The phrasing is exemplary of the
Goddess’s poetic use of language, but above and beyond the lyrical beauty of the incantation itself, i have always felt sweet pleasure at hearing the
Goddess describe Herself as “Merciless.” Her Mercilessness is vital to Her
Beauty, it is one of the qualities that most compels others to love Her.

It might seem odd to declare, therefore, that i trust Goddess
Marquesa like i trust few people on earth. She is loving, giving, decent,
and beneficent. She would never knowingly or gratuitously injure any
stranger, much less one of Her treasured pets.
            How is this possible? How can Goddess Marquesa be both
Merciless and Trustworthy? Anyone who insists that must be a contradiction
is trapped in conventional thinking.
            The vanilla world stigmatizes BDSM in general and female
domination in particular because society is imprisoned in a repressed and
benighted concept of sexuality. Our culture demands that we view sex as
dedicated to procreation or necessarily constrained within “acceptable”
bounds, when in fact it is a dynamic and volatile force that allows us to
contact the cosmic ground of life itself. Sex is the experience of power,
the vital force that animates our bodies and souls and connects them to
one-another.
For this reason, at its most authentic frontiers the feelings aroused by
sexuality are so intense as to make the distinction between pleasure and
pain impossible. To fully experience what breathes life and joy into our
bodies and souls, we must surrender ourselves to the power of the Divine
Other, and to that end (though there may be other equally fulfilling paths)
there is no path higher than surrender to One as potent, refined, and
self-realized as Goddess Marquesa. Goddess is Merciless precisely because
“pulling Her punches” would deprive us of the full experience of life and
passion. If She hurts us (and ohhh yes…mmmm….She does), it is because we
need that pain to feel Her power, and we need to experience Her power to
reach the psychic summit of true bliss.
But though She hurts us, She would never injure us. Why? Because what She
deals in is true power, not what the twisted patriarchal world calls power.
The only power the vanilla world understands is the power to destroy. But
that is a form of weakness. True power is the power to generate, vitalize,
nurture, and (ultimately) possess. That is the power that Goddess Marquesa
wields. She would never injure another because She is not that weak.
i trust Goddess Marquesa completely, and my stories on Hypno-Erotica are
testimony to that faith. i have revealed to Her fantasies and passions that
i have entrusted to no one else. The vanilla world is a cruel and misguided
