He always felt sleepy on the train home from work. The hour-long journey always seemed to rock him into slumber. He noted that this especially happened when an older lady, maybe in her 50’s, began using the train. He was transfixed by her elegance and poise. And when he heard her speak in assured tones with that delightful, quiet, maternal burr that older women get, he was blown away. Even though he was only in his early 20’s, he knew he could never resist the power such mature women held over him. He was well aware that most people would find his attraction unconventional at best. In no way did this lessen its irresistible influence on him.
