SAMSON’S ACHILLES’ HEELS
Mike made a comment in My last blog post that got Me thinking (uh oh! trouble ahead! Beware.)
Stories, legends and myths can give us priceless treasure troves of invaluable insights about ourselves,
our interactions, and our realities. The story of Samson….is a powerful example.
While Samson craved to marry a particular Philistine woman who especially appealled to him.
His parents warned him this was a bad idea.
Despite these warnings, Samson insisted on marrying the woman he so desired.
…..
Years later, Samson’s lover/Mistress (?) Delilah repeatedly attempted to get Samson to divulge the secret of his superhuman strength.
If Samson had been wise, he would’ve realized that continuing his romance with Delilah was very risky.
Nevertheless, because he lusted for her so passionately, nothing mattered more to Samson than being with Delilah.
The little horn doggie cheater!
At one point, Samson made a bet with some of his wife’s people that they couldn’t solve
within one week a riddle he’d give them.
This indicates (red flag) that Samson enjoyed playing head games. Silly, silly Smart ass..
When Delilah asked Samson to tell her the secret of his strength, three times he told her to do certain things that
would supposedly weaken him.
He knew that none of these supposed neutralizers of his great physical strength would work.
Samson’s tendency to play tricks on others was manifested again….. Tsk, tsk. 🙂
After being unable to figure out Samson’s riddle, the Philistines threatened to incinerate his wife and her
family unless she discovered and divulged the riddle’s answer. A bit of overkill here yes? 😉
At first Samson refused to tell his wife the riddle’s solution.
After that, Samson’s wife began working on his emotions. I wouldnt of thought he had any in the first place except for “lust.” amnd self-love. LOL
For several days, she wept and told him again and again that if he loved her, he would share this secret with her.
Ah yea…..Delilah also repeatedly told Samson that if he really loved her he would be honest with her.
Get this…..Ultimately, Samson’s wife and Delilah got Samson to do their bidding. Tag team winners, oh yes!
After a night of sex in the city of Gaza, on a whim Samson decides to have some fun at their expense. He rips Gaza’s gates off the walls and carries them away.
After Delilah soothes Samson into falling asleep on her lap. he must of been exhausted even for Samson!
Here comes the good part – Samson’s head is shaved and his strength leaves him. Poor baby!
Delilah awakens him by saying that the Philistines are there.
After waking up, Samson boasts that he will simply go out and shake himself (shake himself…??…o.k. sounds reasonable to Me) as he’d done so many times before.
To Samson, much of life was only a game.
And in his opinion, he was and would always be “THE WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION”.

I look forward to your thoughtful responses to either of My questions you might be drawn to answer:
What was obviouly one of Samson’s Achilles’ heels?
Can you name a contemporary, historical, legendary, mythological, individual or a personal friend who was overcome by a woman’s charms?
Would that someone be you? 🙂
If you have a Hypno-Mistress that you are enthralled by you can feel comfortable sharing that with Me.
Because unlike Samson…not everything for everyone always is about Moi! 😉
