A Goddess Marquesa Halloween Adventure

               “Where are we?” the rabbit asked.

It was a good question. we were all standing in a lighted circle on top of a black mat, but where the mat was laid was anyone’s guess. The circle of light did not extend to the end of the mat. Beyond the light was…..darkness.
“your guess is as good as mine,” i croaked. The sound of my voice startled me. i looked down at my hand and saw green webbing. “Wait a minute…..am i….?”

“A toad, yes,” the sparrow answered. “And i’m a bird, and he,” indicating the creatures on either side of him with his beak, “is a rabbit, and he is a mouse.”
